API overview

This page gives you a hierarchical view of the Spotfire Mods API.

The API overview is an alternative perspective of the API, compared to the more classic API documentation.

The visualization is a simplified view of the API. While the Mod API relies heavily on asynchronous behavior via Promises, the visualization only displays the interfaces defined in the spotfire-api.d.ts file. There are some advanced types available in the declaration file that are not displayed in the hierarchy visualization. The advanced types describe some of the more intricate functionality in the API.
